Los Angeles—David Lynch Foundation Music, a new music destination offering exclusive audio and video tracks 'not found anywhere else in the universe', has extended its ''Download for Good'' partnership with direct-to-fan online music distributor PledgeMusic to raise funds with the sale of exclusive tracks donated by some of the world's top artists.

All funds from the campaign will go to support the work and global outreach of the David Lynch Foundation (DLF), an organization dedicated to teaching stress-reducing Transcendental Meditation to at-risk populations—including millions of troubled youths, thousands of veterans suffering from PTSD and additional groups who traditionally suffer from mental and emotional trauma but do not have the means to seek help.

The campaign, which exceeded 100% of its original goal in just 6 weeks, will run through May 2011, and there is potential for it to extend even longer should the tracks continue to do well.

''The artists who share their music will spread much happiness with their music alone and, at the same time, support programs that take away suffering and bring bliss to lots of people,'' said David Lynch, founder of the David Lynch Foundation. ''When you download these tracks, you'll not only get to enjoy some great music, but you'll also know you are going to bring happiness to someone somewhere in the world.''

PledgeMusic's extension offer has been met with additional support from artists. ''I was honored when asked to contribute for such a wonderful cause,'' said producer Carmen Rizzo, who has donated a recording session to the campaign. ''David Lynch's vision to help children focus on reaching within to help themselves is a wonderful gift.''

To launch this next phase, Donovan, Peter & Gordon, Phil Soussan & Jakob Dylan w. Daryl Hannah have all contributed new tracks. These musicians join artists such as Ben Folds, Peter Gabriel, Moby, Mary Hopkin, Ozomatli, and Tom Waits, who have already donated original tracks and are now contributing additional items to the cause, such as tickets to shows, signed items, unique collector's items, and apparel for the extension.

About the David Lynch Foundation

The David Lynch Foundation was launched six years ago to bring the stress-reducing, health-promoting benefits of Transcendental Meditation to underserved populations, including at-risk inner city youth and veterans returning home from combat with post traumatic stress disorder, as well as American Indians, the homeless and prisoners. To date, DLF has provided scholarships for nearly 150,000 adults and students to learn to meditate, eliminating the traumatic stress that undermines academic achievement and fuels substance abuse and violent behavior. Independent published scientific research shows that meditating students have dramatically better test scores, grades and graduation rates, while dropout rates, suspensions, and expulsions greatly decrease.
