Established under the guidance of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and the leadership of Chairman Dr Girish Varma,* Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group and Maharishi Institutes of Management and Information Technology together form the largest private primary and secondary educational organization in India.
There are 151 schools in 17 states of India with approximately 100,000 students, who perennially win awards at academic and extra-curricular competitions. All students practise the Transcendental Meditation Programme and many are or will soon become Yogic Flyers. In the past 18 months, new Vastu flying halls have been organized or constructed in 40 locations for students, teachers, and their parents.
This major school organization is now poised to continue its rapid expansion through a franchise system that will allow growth without large upfront capital costs and staffing challenges.
Global Good News will soon feature a second article by Raja Harris Kaplan, Raja of Invincible India for the Global Country of World Peace, about the network of colleges and universities also established by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in India.
* Dr Girish Varma is also Director-General of the Maharishi Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahmasthan [auspicious central area] of India, and National Director of the Global Country of World Peace in India.
