David Lynch Foundation celebrates four years of worldwide achievements in education

A celebration in honour of the fourth anniversary of the founding of the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace was held 25 July 2009 in the Golden Dome of Pure Knowledge in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.

The celebration began with inspiring remarks by Dr John Hagelin, President of the David Lynch Foundation and Raja of Invincible America for the Global Country of World Peace, who also introduced the other speakers and video segments throughout the event.

Renowned filmmaker and philanthropist Dr David Lynch addressed the celebration live via webcast, expressing his gratitude towards Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and Guru Dev* for their gift of supreme knowledge. Dr Lynch also praised the Invincible America Assembly—located in Fairfield, and the Maharishi Vedic Pandits—in the Brahma-Sthan (geographic centre) of India and Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa—for their profound coherence-creating effect on the United States and the world.

The audience also enjoyed video clips of exclusive footage from the historic David Lynch Foundation benefit concert, 'Change Begins Within', 4 April 2009 in New York City. Also shown at the celebration was an unreleased video of Dr Lynch interviewing Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr about their experiences with Maharishi and the Transcendental Meditation Programme.

Concluding the first half of the celebration, Dr Chris Busch, Director of Programmes for the David Lynch Foundation, updated the audience on the organization's successes in the field of Consciousness-Based Education—as well as reporting increasing openness towards Transcendental Meditation within the education community at large.
