Dr Jaan Suurkula, Founder of Invincibility and National Leader of the Global Country of World Peace in Estonia, recently described for viewers of the Maharishi Channel, the visit of internationally-acclaimed filmmaker, Dr David Lynch. Dr Lynch came to Estonia at the invitation of Dr Suurkula and one of Estonia's most renowned film directors and Venice Film Festival prize-winner, Veiko Ounpuu. Dr Lynch has extended his European tour to visit Estonia, Finland, Bulgaria, Austria, and Germany to promote the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace.

Accompanying Dr Lynch on his tour to this Baltic republic, was Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace and President of Maharishi University of Management, USA, and renowned physicist Dr John Hagelin, Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace.

An avalanche of camera flashes greeted Dr Lynch as he emerged from the airport, and impromptu interviews were aired on the evening television news. Due to the enormous media interest, Dr Lynch gave several unscheduled interviews the following morning in Tallinn, Estonia's capital city. The visitors then took the first steps to inaugurating Estonia Invincibility University by raising the flag of the Global Country of World Peace alongside the Estonian flag in front of Tallinn's most prestigious hotel, and signed a resolution for establishment of the new university.

A lively press conference followed, where Dr Hagelin displayed a beautiful chart showing fundamental principles of the new university. Dr Suurkula described the atmosphere at the press conference as 'very special, very respectful and positive towards the speakers and their message'. Numerous questions arose, not only about film, but about the Estonia Invincibility University.

A public meeting entitled 'Film, Creativity, and Consciousness' more than filled the largest conference venue in Tallinn, Cosmos Kino, attracting an audience of 1200 with many standing for two hours to see the event. Students, educators, government representatives, and many leading cultural figures participated. Dr Suurkula noted that an audience of this size is remarkable given Estonia's population of only 1.5 million. Again, Dr Suurkula found the audience extremely positive, calm, quiet, and deeply attentive. As film production is a fast-growing industry in Estonia, many questions naturally arose about Dr Lynch's career in film, but equal enthusiasm and interest was expressed for the new university.

Later, a special dinner for the visitors was attended by the adviser of the Culture Minister and leading personalities in the arts, education, and government. The largest newspaper in Estonia, as well as national television, radio, and many other newspapers and journals covered the event. Dr Lynch told them anyone can practise Transcendental Meditation and open their awareness to the field of all possibilities and experience the deeper, more powerful levels of consciousness. Dr Suurkula said, 'One of the newspapers reported, ''there is truth behind the message of Lynch'', while another newspaper's headline read, ''David Lynch brings us the ocean of consciousness''.'

Estonians are noted for their openness to new possibilities, and Dr Suurkula found evidence of this in the great support he has received from leading members of society who are interested in Maharishi's programmes for the invincibility of their nation. He has received offers of funding for Consciousness-Based Education projects, as well as positive responses from leading figures in the media and education.

The Global Country of World Peace in Estonia has launched a new website, Invincible Estonia Fund, and is beginning a media campaign to promote Invincible Estonia Bonds to support the establishment of the Invincibility School.
