'Download for Good: Music That Changes the World', a unique compilation album featuring music spanning genres and generations, was released this week. All proceeds from downloads of the album support the David Lynch Foundation, which brings the Transcendental Meditation technique to underserved populations, including at-risk inner-city youth, combat veterans with PTSD, Native Americans, homeless adults and children, prisoners, and others in desperate need of relief from acute stress.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of culture.
The list of participating musicians on Download for Good is most impressive. The 33-track album is now available exclusively on iTunes.
''The artists who have shared their music are spreading happiness,'' David Lynch said, when announcing the iTunes launch. ''With their music alone they're supporting programs that take away suffering and bring bliss to many people.''
Jenny Charlesworth in her column on the popular online music site, Spinner, put it this way, ''If anyone can change the world it's David Lynch.''
