On 15 May 2016 The Dispatch-Argus featured David and Claudia Magill who teach Transcendental Meditation in the group of cities spanning the Mississippi River in Iowa and Illinois. Claudia says, ''I thank my TM practice . . . that I still enjoy a life full of happiness, good health, and the ability to see through it all and continue to nourish a rapidly rising global peace, prosperity and harmony that will prove deep, robust and lasting.''

Referring to studies on prisoners who learned TM, David Magill says that a five-year follow-up study showed a 33 percent reduction in recidivism rates, and a 15-year follow-up study showed a 43.5 percent reduction.
