8 April 2015
On 10 April 2015 The East Anglian Daily Times (United Kingdom) reported: A ceremonial event took place seven years after plans were originally unveiled for the Maharishi Peace Palace in Rendlesham. Permission was granted in April 2008 for the Maharishi Foundation to develop a residential venue teaching the Transcendental Meditation technique of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of world peace.
To celebrate the start of development, the educational charity hosted a ceremony attended by 200 guests from across the UK and overseas.
Dr Peter Warburton, Chairman of Trustees of the Maharishi Foundation, said: ''As its name suggests, the Peace Palace will be dedicated to creating peace and harmony for the individual and society by offering practical programmes to develop the full potential of life.''
The 22,000 square foot (2,044 square metre) development, which includes an exhibition hall, conference rooms and health spa, will be . . . . offering a range of residential and non-residential courses, including consciousness-based education and a system of natural health care known as Maharishi AyurVeda.
