On 2 July 2013 East Anglian Daily Times reported: Developers behind a £3million, 30-bedroom Maharishi Peace Palace in Rendlesham, Suffolk, UK—the first of its kind in the country—are hoping to begin construction by the end of the year. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of world peace.
The Peace Palace will be the centrepiece of Rendlesham's Maharishi Garden Village, which already incorporates a number of Vastu homes, designed according to architectural principles taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Plans for the 22,000 sq ft development include an exhibition hall, conference rooms and health spa at the heart of Garden Square. The palace will be mainly used for residential courses in Transcendental Meditation.
Richard Johnson, spokesman for the Maharishi Foundation, said: ''We hope to start building this year. The palace will be devoted to creating peace for the individual and for society.''
