Scientists theorize a Meissner Effect that applies to Vastu buildings, cities

After hearing numerous reports of homes and other buildings designed according to Maharishi Vastu architecture fending off natural disasters and keeping their inhabitants safe, some scientists have theorized that a Meissner-like effect may be at work.

The Meissner Effect, in which a superconductor does not allow a magnetic field to penetrate it, is being applied on a broader scale in this case, relating the coherent superconductor to the coherent Vastu building.

Dr Eike Hartmann, an international expert in Maharishi Vastu architecture, elaborated.

'Being a structure of wholeness, [a Vastu building] is like a superconductor because it is coherent and orderly. . . . The foreign influences outside, disturbing influences, were shown to move around the Vastu fence' which surrounds the building, but not to come inside it.

Dr Hartmann has received reports from all over the world of Vastu homes deflecting forest fires, floods, hurricanes, and cyclones.

'This surprising phenomenon is now commonly called the Vastu Shield Effect,' he said. 'Scientists compare it to the Meissner Effect of quantum physics.'*

He explained that a Vastu building could hardly be more coherent. Every aspect of its design and construction, from the placement of the rooms to the orientation of the building, is done with reference to natural law.

'This is the optimized structure for living for a human being,' Dr Hartmann said.

Just as many people have reported safety from fires, floods, and hurricanes in single Vastu houses, Dr Hartmann predicted the same effect would apply on a larger scale.

As a Vastu structure behaves like the Meissner Effect's superconductor, 'similarly, an orderly Vastu city would be compared to the coherent structure of a superconductor—which is in striking contrast to the random, incoherent layout of an ordinary city that has no defence to outer destructive influences.

'This Vastu Shield Effect seems to be providing an invincible armour to the fortunate inhabitants of a Vedic city; therefore it would be a really good idea to apply Vastu principles to urban design and planning in general,' he said.

* Scientists have described the Meissner Effect as illustrating the principle of invincibility found throughout the physical and biological sciences: the natural ability of a system to resist disorder, based on coherent collective functioning. Another application of this principle is Invincible Defense Technology—creating an invincible armour for a nation by generating a powerful influence of coherence in national consciousness. This is accomplished through large groups practising Transcendental Meditation and its advanced programmes, shown by scientific research to reduce crime and violence and increase positive trends throughout society.
