The celebration of Victory Day on 24 October continued with more of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's historic address on Victory Day in October 1999.
Please see Part I of this article: Celebrating 'a continuum of eternal victory, that is the reality of life' — Maharishi
Earlier in his address, Maharishi described the ability of everyone to live the reality 'I am Totality'—total Natural Law, Veda, the Constitution of the Universe—as a 'continuum of eternal victory'. Maharishi continued:
'Fortunately there has been a country all along the long corridor of time—India, the land of the Veda, from where [comes] this field of Total Knowledge, fully developed individual, perfectly evolved human being. This is a country where there is a model of ideal life, a model of totally evolved life.
'India is a counry, Veda bhumi, this is the land of Veda—which means Total Knowledge. Total Knowledge, we have been all the time pondering over, is a field of eternal peace with eternal dynamism. This is the victory of peace over dynamism, this is the victory of dynamism over peace. This is victory continuum that we are celebrating today as the structure of our own status. Victory continuum.
'The picture is so beautiful—victory continuum. Veda is the eternal law of nature that creates. How does it create? It creates because Veda in its own right is eternal silence, at the same time eternal dynamism. Between silence and dynamism is the eternal source of creation. The picture is so very beautiful. The source of eternal birth of creation is the source of eternal administration of what has been created—that means evolution, evolution, evolution.
'What we are doing today is just what we are: the status of eternal peace in eternal dynamism; eternal dynamism in eternal peace. This is eternity and this is victory continuum. Throughout the long corridor of time, this victory was celebrated in India, in the Vedic civilization, year after year.
'What are we celebrating? We are celebrating victory. Where is victory? Victory is in the eternal unity of infinite silence and infinite dynamism. It's just a continuum of life. It is on this ground that the evolution is a reality. The state of eternal victory is the state of eternal Veda. It is the state of eternal Atma (the Self). It is the state of eternal Brahm (Totality). Atmai Vedam Sarvam. Ayam Atma Brahm—''This Atma is Brahm,'' this Atma is Totality. Totality—the Totality of knowledge is the Totality of action.
'It is on this ground that the action of evolution makes the whole universe spontaneously, continuously evolving. It's a common knowledge that the universe is an ever-expanding universe. What is ever-expanding? The continuum of what we call today, victory. Victory continuum is the nature of life. Spontaneously the nature of life is victory, victory, victory.'
