The Global Country of World Peace held its annual celebration of Victory Day, the festival of Vijaya Dashami, on 24 October 2012. This special celebration took place in MERU, Holland, and at the Capital of World Peace in the Brahmasthan (geographical centre) of India. People in many countries also enjoyed a webcast of the celebration.

Victory Day is the day each year in the Vedic calendar that celebrates the victory of administration based on total Natural Law, the Constitution of the Universe, to promote an ideal, invincible state of life in which 'suffering belongs to no one'.

Wednesday's celebration in Holland took place in a gathering of teachers and administrators of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's programmes, including Transcendental Meditation, in countries around the world. Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, honoured by Maharishi as first ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, participated via videoconference.

A highlight of the day's programme, following traditional Vedic recitations by Maharishi Vedic Pandits in the Brahmasthan of India and in MERU, was the video of a beautiful address by Maharishi during the Victory Day celebration on 18 October 1999.

In that historic address Maharishi said that today we are designing programmes to create and maintain a heavenly life on earth, for 'everyone's life to be in the waves of bliss.

'That is our undertaking, and today we are celebrating this possibility of Heaven on Earth for everyone in the world. Because from the platform of Vedic Science and technology, it is completely within our reach for everyone to always maintain his life in the waves of bliss.

'India is the land of the Veda. Veda is a perpetual, eternal basis of all life. It is the field of Total Knowledge of Natural Law, which administers all life in the whole infinite diversity of creation. It is the law, it is Natural Law, it is the Constitution of the Universe, Veda. The scientific age has discovered the Constitution of the Universe in the Veda. Veda is Total Knowledge. Total Knowledge is available to us in the first syllable of Veda. And from there, the sequential evolution of fullness of life—sequentially evolving total value of Natural Law, from point to infinity—creates creation, maintains it, administers it, and its administration is perfect orderliness in the ever-expanding diversity of the whole universe.

'Today is the day for everyone to enjoy victory. This Victory Day celebration in India is reminiscent of the ability of the individual, and of groups of individuals—the ability of nations, of countries—the ability of the individual, along with the ability of the whole world consciousness. . . . It comes from the reality of the individual, that every individual is cosmic in its potential.

'Every grain of creation, and the intelligence within every grain of creation, has the potential of cosmic intelligence. . . . The Total Knowledge of Natural Law, the Veda, has been summarizing the potential of the individual in terms of Totality. The expression is
Aham Brahmasmi, ''I am Totality.'' Every individual in the universe is Brahm, is the Totality. This is not a philosophical gesture about life, even though it has been so far. But now in this scientific age, it is a physical reality, as much as it is a mental reality. It's the reality in the field of consciousness, it's the reality in the field of materialized value of consciousness, which is physiology—of the individual, of the whole universe. . . .

'This is not anything that one has to achieve, this is the reality that one is. And in this perspective, what we have is perpetual victory. Life is a continuum of eternal victory.

'So today is the day of victory continuum. Eternal victory, that is the reality of life.'

Global Good News will continue to feature Maharishi's address from Victory Day in 1999.

After the video of Maharishi's address, the assembly enjoyed the reflections of Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam on the day—including high praise and congratulations for today's greatly anticipated inauguration of the newly constructed Maharishi Peace Palace in Erfurt, at the centre of Germany. This joyful event, which was also connected to the Victory Day celebrations via video conference, marked the opening of the first Maharishi Peace Palace in Europe to be designed and built according to Maharishi Vastu architecture.

The celebrations culminated in a wave of festive noon flagraisings in countries around the world, raising the flag of Invincibility, along with wishes and resolutions to create invincible permanent peace, perfect health, progress, prosperity, and good fortune for the people of every nation. The group in MERU went on to enjoy a lovely Maharishi Gandharva Veda concert in nearby Burg Wassenburg, Germany, featuring two renowned musicians in the tradition of Indian classical music—Meeta Pandit, vocal, and Reshma Shrivastava on sitar.

Global Good News will report on Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam's address, as well as the inauguration of the Maharishi Peace Palace in Erfurt, in the coming days.
