Maharishi's technologies offer a vision of national unity and harmony for African countries

The current tour of Dr Bevan Morris, President of Maharishi University of Management, celebrating the Golden Jubilee of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's knowledge and programmes in Africa, began in late January with visits to four West African countries.
Following the great success of his stay in Ghana, Dr Morris went on to Côte d'Ivoire, Togo, and Senegal.
In Côte d'Ivoire, Dr Morris was hosted by Dr Pauline Moskall, who has been teaching the Transcendental Meditation Programme there for over 30 years. In April 1975 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, Dr Moskall was present at Maharishi's historic inauguration of the Dawn of the Age of Enlightenment for Africa (see New knowledge series celebrates Maharishi's gift of Total Knowledge for Africa).
Dr Moskall and her colleague, Dr Issouf Ouattara, had arranged for Dr Morris to give a presentation on Consciousness-Based Education to the president of an international university near Abidjan.
He also spoke to government leaders in education and the military about Maharishi's programmes to create national invincibility, a state of lasting peace, harmony, security, and economic stability—strengthening the nation against any potentially disruptive influences from outside or within—based on creating coherence in national consciousness through groups practising Maharishi's peace-creating technologies of consciousness.
Dr Morris's presentations included a compelling video about a military training university in the United States where a number of students and staff have learned the Transcendental Meditation Technique and describe their experiences of increased resilience and energy, freedom from stress, and success in the classroom.
He also described the widespread application of Maharishi's technologies by President Chissano of Mozambique, leading to the end of the civil war and establishment of a stable, peaceful era of progress in national life.
The recent history of conflict in Côte d'Ivoire underscored the great opportunity and hope offered by Maharishi's programmes to the nation's leaders, to help the country rise out difficulties.
The Transcendental Meditation teachers have inspired many people to learn the technique and its advanced programmes, resulting in a dynamic group of meditators in the country who are keen to rise to higher states of human development, and alert to make full use of Maharishi's technologies to create unity in society.
Global Good News will continue to report on the progress of Dr Morris's Invincible Africa Golden Jubilee tour, next in Togo and other West African countries.
