On 25 January, Dr Bevan Morris, President of Maharishi University of Management, arrived in Ghana, the first stop on his tour of the African continent.

The tour, titled the Invincible Africa Golden Jubilee Tour, was launched in celebration of the fifty years that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's technologies of consciousness have been offered in Africa.

Dr Morris, a distinguished international expert in Consciousness-Based Education and the complete range of Maharishi's programmes for full development of life, is touring the continent to meet with government leaders, celebrate progress and achievements in each country, and inspire practitioners and teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Technique.

Dr Morris was greeted in Ghana by a delegation of Transcendental Meditation teachers living and working there, led by Dr Kwesi Orgle, director of the organization in Ghana.

While in Ghana Dr Morris stayed in the Maharishi Invincibility Centre for the Transcendental Meditation Programme in Accra. The centre is a beautiful facility built according to Maharishi Vastu architecture, and Dr Morris remarked that he felt very comfortable and happy to be in a Vastu building during his visit.

On 26 January, Dr Morris visited a monument from 1957 that commemorates freedom and Ghana's independence. The gaining of independence was remarkable because it was achieved without any conflict.

Later that day, Dr Morris had a meeting with the Honourable Sherry Ayittey, Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology for Ghana. He presented the minister with a copy of the Maharishi University of Management Viewbook, which describes all of Maharishi's programmes to bring enlightenment to the individual and invincibility to the nation.

In addition to these government meetings, while in Ghana Dr Morris's plans included visiting one of the school projects where students are all learning Transcendental Meditation.

He was also slated to attend a conference in the capital city of Accra. The conference is for educators and attracts the top educational leaders of the country.

Lastly, Dr Morris's visit included meeting with traditional rulers and leaders of Ghana at a conference in the historic city of Kumasi.

Global Good News will continue to feature news of the Invincible Africa tour of Dr Bevan Morris, including a report by Dr Kwesi Orgle about Ghana.
