On 30 November the Global Country of World Peace celebrated the aspect of natural law that represents the function of 'commander in chief', taking the lead to overcome any opposition to evolution, and reestablishing balance in the functioning of the laws of nature. This Vedic festival of the day of Karttikeya was celebrated in MERU, Holland and at the Capital of World Peace in the Brahmasthan (geographical centre) of India.
The day's programme featured traditional Vedic recitations by Maharishi Vedic Pandits in India and in MERU, to enliven for every individual and for the whole world the quality of removing obstacles to evolution, which is most lively on this day.
A highlight of the celebration was the video of an address by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on this occasion, 17 November 1985 in India. Maharishi's address, originally given in Hindi, was translated into English for today's celebration. Following are a few highlights.
Maharishi said that through the Vedic recitations, that quality of the commander in chief of all the laws of nature has been awakened and enlivened in our awareness, and through our consciousness in the whole world consciousness.
We have been celebrating every year on Vijaya Dashmi, on Victory Day, invincibility, Invincible India, Maharishi said. And every year on this day, we awaken this quality in our consciousness. The result will be that in our whole world family, nowhere, no one will ever face defeat. All the wishes of everyone will be fulfilled.
Maharishi explained that all the teachers of Transcendental Meditation will inspire these qualities in the daily life of the people of their region. Everyone's life will remain victorious. Every day in India is the day of all the laws of nature, and enlivening these qualities each day is a great fortunate blessing. The whole world family will forever enjoy peace and happiness.
Maharishi also commented that it was fortunate to celebrate this day in the presence of a great spiritual leader of India, Bhagwan Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math, Himalayas.
Global Good News will feature the remarks of Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, honoured by Maharishi as first ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, who spoke today after Maharishi's address from 1985.
