People in major cities across Canada recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first visit of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the Transcendental Meditation Programme.
Maharishi first travelled to Canada in October 1961, and visited the nation nine more times over the following half century.
A collection of video addresses from these visits, presented at the recent celebrations, inspired viewers with Maharishi's vision of Canada's role in creating a brighter world.
Practitioners and teachers of Transcendental Meditation realize 'how what they are doing now is fulfilling what Maharishi began 50 years ago,' said an administrator of the programme in Canada.
For 50 years Canadians have been enjoying the many benefits of the Transcendental Meditation Programme, as well as Maharishi's programmes for every area of society.
In the coming days, Global Good News will continue to present highlights of Canada's 50th anniversary celebrations.
