Another anecdote illustrates that residents of homes designed according to Maharishi Vedic architecture spontaneously enjoy the benefits of Vastu* regardless of how much or how little they know of its principles.

A gentleman who built a Maharishi Vastu home in Ohio, USA several years ago was obliged to relocate due to work. Instead of selling his home, he decided to rent it for some time.

He found good tenants, an Army captain and his family who would be stationed nearby for a few years.

They have reported how much they love living in this house and how, even when friends visit, they do not want to leave and comment on the peace and happiness that being in the house brings to them.

The family does not know very much about the unique nature of the house as a Maharishi Vastu structure, although they do know that the Brahmasthan** (central area) is special and to be respected.

Recently, the renting family was scheduled to move due to the conclusion of their military obligations in the area. But they requested and were granted an extension of their tour in that city, and happily informed the owner that they would be staying on. They told him they asked to continue in the area because they did not want to move from this house.

Knowing the principles and practices of Vastu architecture is not required to enjoy its benefits, comments an expert in Maharishi Vastu architecture. If these principles are followed in the design and construction, then daily life is spontaneously supported with good fortune and happiness. Global Good News will feature more comments and experiences of homeowners and residents on this topic.

* Vastu refers to Vastu vidya, Vedic architecture—the knowledge of design and building in accord with Natural Law—brought to light in its completeness from the Vedic literature by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi as Maharishi Sthapatya Veda.

** Brahmasthan: The silent core of intelligence and wholeness found in many structures in nature, around which the activity of the structure is arranged. Incorporated into the design of a Vastu building, this element helps it become a holistic structure of Natural Law.
