Canada: New Vastu homeowners find peace, bliss, effortless accomplishments

Owners of a new home on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, Canada, are among a growing number of people worldwide who have built homes according to principles of Maharishi Vastu* architecture.
Their experiences both during construction and since they moved in this spring echo those of many other Vastu homeowners—underscoring that the ease, comfort, and other benefits of Vastu living are widely experienced in structures with a great diversity of sizes, architectural styles, and locations.
Just after moving in, one of the owners described feelings of great bliss, 'peace and groundedness', and that 'my heart feels as if it is being filled up and nourished'. Many Vastu residents describe similar experiences of feeling nourished and supported by being in their homes.
She and her husband have also often noticed a quality of 'effortless accomplishments' in their daily activity—'items on our ''to do'' list were being dealt with very smoothly and quickly.'
This home on Salt Spring Island is fairly small—about 830 square feet (77 square metres)—and is among many 'tiny Vastu houses' described in the January and March 2011 issues of At Home in Maharishi Vastu®—The Newsletter of Maharishi Vedic Architecture.
Photos of the home appear in an Album of small Vastu houses on the Maharishi Vastu page on Facebook.®
Global Good News will feature more of the experiences of the owners of this new Vastu home in British Columbia.
* Vastu refers to Vastu vidya, Vedic architecture—the knowledge of design and building in accord with Natural Law—brought to light in its completeness from the Vedic Literature by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi as Maharishi Sthapatya Veda.
