A large coherence-creating group of Yogic Flyers from seven countries gathered in Turkey early in 2011 for a World Peace Assembly.
A total of 125 Yogic Flyers—including those attending a Transcendental Meditation Teacher Refresher Course—participated in creating an influence of peace and harmony in the region, said a leader of the Global Country of World Peace in Turkey, reporting on 16 March.
At the conclusion of the course—held from 22 January to 6 February at a beautiful hotel on the Mediterranean Sea—Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, addressed participants and inspired them with lively lectures.
'Participants suggested a repetition of such events because they experienced that superficial differences melt with the experience of unity which is deep within everyone,' said the leader from Turkey.
Another World Peace Assembly is to be held in Istanbul at the end of March.
Following the course, Dr Morris, along with the Global Country's Administrator of Turkey, travelled to Maharishi Invincibility Centres* in Adana, Ankara, Izmir, and Istanbul. Within a week, hundreds of practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation Programme and Yogic Flyers had been inspired by presentations from these leaders.
* Maharishi Invincibility Centres in major cities around the world offer the knowledge and programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, including the Transcendental Meditation Programme, to promote enlightenment for every individual and invincibility for every nation through development of full potential in every area of life.
