Professionals in the field of construction—including architects, engineers, builders, and surveyors—recently graduated from a course in Maharishi Vedic Architecture held in MERU, Holland. The 'Vastu Coordinators Training - Phase II' was attended by 70 participants from 24 countries.
The course emphasized two main types of building projects. One is primarily for those wishing to enjoy all of the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi—including Peace Colonies,* Peace Palaces, Maharishi Schools, and Maharishi Ayur-Veda Spas and Health Centres. The other—beautiful 'Garden Cities' with 90 per cent green spaces supporting an ideal quality of life for residents—is intended to be built for the general public.
The six-day training programme covered topics including sustainable building, the unique requirements of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda architecture, and practical guidance for all aspects of the construction process based on completed projects around the world.
Course participants learned from global building initiatives, including those in France, Russia, Great Britain, and several locations in the US.
* Maharishi Peace Colony: A community founded to help create invincibility for a nation, based on the principles of Maharishi's Vedic Science and their practical applications for living perfection in all areas of life—featuring homes, businesses, and buildings for group practice of Yogic Flying—all built according to Vedic Architecture, Maharishi Sthapatya Veda.
