A coherence-creating effect in the United Kingdom, produced by the expansion of programmes offered by the Global Country of World Peace, coincides with the rise of positive trends in society.
Over the last year, the UK has seen increased Vastu construction*; more active Maharishi Invincibility Centres offering Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's programmes; and expansion of coherence-creating groups of Yogic Flyers—such as the one at Maharishi European Sidhaland in Skelmersdale, England.
As these developments have taken place, the United Kingdom has simultaneously experienced a reduction in crime, cuts in government military spending, investment in renewable energy, and a decrease in alcohol consumption, among other positive trends, a leader of the Global Country said recently.
A 21 October 2010 article published by the BBC revealed that the latest figures for England and Wales indicate an 8 per cent decrease in crime. This statistic reflects not only police records—which can be unreliable—but also takes into account a direct survey of citizens regarding the crime rate. Furthermore, the same article revealed that the majority of citizens are more satisfied with how the police are doing their job.
In addition to the fall in crime, government spending in the UK has shifted away from the military, and has focussed more on renewable energy such as wind and solar power. Scotland has resolved to derive 80 per cent of its energy from renewable sources by 2020, and 100 per cent by 2025.
Finally, alcohol consumption in the UK has dropped during 2010 more than it has during any of the last 60 years.
