On 17 October 2010, leaders and members of the Global Country of World Peace around the world participated in the annual celebration of Victory Day.
Leading the celebration from the International Capital of the Global Country in MERU, Holland was Raja Harris Kaplan, Raja of Invincible India. Raja Harris introduced the celebration with an expression from the Vedic Literature often quoted by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace: Raam Brahm paramarath rupa—Raam is pure spirituality, Unity Consciousness,* Brahm (Totality, total Natural Law). He also quoted a passage on this subject from an address given by Maharishi in July 2004:
'Raam Raj—the administration of Raam, the administration of Brahm . . . is the administration of pure spirituality, and the administration of pure spirituality we understand as the administration of total Natural Law, the administration of the Will of God.'
'We joyously celebrate that administration today,' Raja Harris continued, introducing the 'custodians of Natural Law, of the Constitution of the Universe'—groups of Maharishi Vedic Pandits in residence in MERU and at the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahmasthan (geographical centre) of India. Connected via video conference, the Vedic Pandits together performed special Vedic recitations in honour of the day, which were also enjoyed via webcast by members of the Global Country of World Peace in many countries.
Following the Pandits' recitations, Raja Harris expressed everyone's deep gratitude for their flawless Vedic performances which are bringing the complete realization of Maharishi's programme to create Raam Raj, administration through total Natural Law, throughout the world. He concluded with another Vedic expression Maharishi enjoyed, which, as Raja Harris explained, states that 'in the reign of Raam (the administration based in total Natural Law), the experience of everyone is that their desires are all fulfilled. The most tender, the most powerful, the most important desires, any desire—the rain to come, the rain not to come—those desires will be fulfilled.'
Another Victory Day celebration by the Invincible America Assembly was held later in the day in the Golden Dome at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.
At the celebrations in MERU, at MUM, and at Maharishi Invinciblity Centres** around the world, ceremonies were also held to raise the Flag of Invincibility, the Flag of the Global Country of World Peace.
The Victory Day celebrations this year were also the grand culmination of the tenth anniversary celebrations of the Global Country of World Peace.
Throughout the world since 7 October 2010, leaders and members of the Global Country have been commemorating the historic ceremonies of October 2000, during which Maharishi inaugurated the Global Country of World Peace, establishing Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam as its First Ruler.
On 17 October 2000, Maharaja declared his first Proclamation, accepting the responsibility to establish the administration to maintain perpetual peace on earth.
In the coming days, Global Good News will feature highlights of Maharaja's Proclamation of 17 October 2000.
* In Maharishi's explanation of seven states of consciousness, Unity Consciousness is the seventh state of consciousness, the highest state of human development.
** Maharishi Invincibility Centres in major cities around the world offer the knowledge and programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, including the Transcendental Meditation Programme, to promote enlightenment for every individual and invincibility for every nation through development of full potential in every area of life.
