The Album features the first Maharishi Gandharva Veda Festival for World Peace concerts, which were held during the global celebrations of Guru Purnima on 24 and 25 July in MERU, Holland—home of the International Capital of the Global Country of World Peace. The concerts were attended by approximately 700 people over the two days.
Many top international artists participated, offering traditional Vedic music, in the beautiful setting of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Peace Palace. The artists performed on a floating platform in a pond with coloured fountains, lighted Vedic arches, and ornaments, surrounded by gardens and forest. Audience members described the festival as 'a spectacular display of melodies, rhythms, and beats performed by the renowned Indian artists'. Crowning the evening concerts, Maharishi Vedic Pandits performed special Vedic recitations for world peace, with all the artists together accompanying in a grand symphony performance.
Viewers around the world also enjoyed the live concerts online. They have been archived and continue to be available for online viewing. For further information, please see Concert.
