The Global Mother Divine Organization* reported on its many achievements in Uganda, on the final day of the recent Third International GMDO Congress in MERU, Holland.
Much of the report featured the success, expansion, and development of the Maharishi Secondary School for Girls in Mbale, Uganda, which has now achieved accreditation.
The Raj Rajeshwari* of Uganda has been working with Raja Graham de Freitas, Raja of Invincible Uganda for the Global Country of World Peace, and Dr Leanne de Freitas, as well as Dr Grant Lusimbo, National Director of the Global Country, on the progress of the school, and other expansion efforts in Kampala.
Dr Leanne de Freitas and the Raj Rajeshwari have been teleconferencing regularly with a group of ladies in Kampala, for group practice of the Transcendental Meditation Programme and discussion of their experiences and the benefits they have been enjoying. Many ladies have expressed interest in becoming Teachers of Transcendental Meditation.
A new lady Transcendental Meditation Teacher for Uganda—the first in the country—has already started instructing girls at the Maharishi Secondary School, in addition to presenting introductory lectures about the technique in the community of Mbale, where the school is located. GMDO is planning 'open houses' for the mothers in the city to meet the girls and learn more about Consciousness-Based Education.
The school has doubled its enrolment to 60 girls this past year, with the addition of approximately 30 Kenyan girls who have been inspired to attend. Contributing to their desire were the positive results of implementing Transcendental Meditation in the primary school in their Kenyan village. The first nine Kenyan girls who came to Maharishi Secondary School in Uganda reported such good results that the next semester the group expanded to 30, filling the boarding space to capacity.
More dormitory rooms are currently under construction to meet the demand from Kenya, and to increase boarding opportunities for Ugandan girls from around the country. Plans for further expansion of the campus are underway.
A four-minute video about the Maharishi Secondary School for Girls is being used to promote the project. It was recently played during the annual conference of the Kenyan diaspora in Washington, DC, to share the successful partnership of these 'sister communities' in Uganda and Kenya.
The GMDO Congress enjoyed the video about this beautiful project to create ideal education and invincibility for Uganda.
In the coming days, Global Good News will continue reporting on GMDO delegates' reports about their countries, as well as on other presentations during the Congress.
