The Global Mother Divine Organization* (GMDO) in Iceland reported on its many achievements on the final day of the organization's recent Third International Congress in MERU, Holland.
Teachers of Transcendental Meditation in Iceland have continued to instruct hundreds of ladies this year, among the very large numbers of people who signed up to learn the technique after a widely reported visit by renowned filmmaker Dr David Lynch last year. One hundred seventy-five ladies have learned Transcendental Meditation in the last six months. Those who learn recommend the programme to their family and friends, so it has been spreading by word of mouth, reported the National GMDO Director—'people just keep pouring in and wanting to learn'.
In June, GMDO hosted a visit by Dr Charlotte Bech, a medical doctor from Denmark who is an expert in Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care. Dr Bech gave 22 consultations, including many for ladies, and a series of five lectures for Transcendental Meditation practitioners and the public.
A few days before the lectures, the largest newspaper in Iceland published a very positive article on Transcendental Meditation and Ayurveda. The paper featured a photo on the front page, and several more photos with the article inside.
Dr Bech's visit was a great success, with 300 people, almost all ladies, attending the lectures. At her last lecture, the organizers introduced the Global Mother Divine Organization, and the audience was very enthusiastic and eager to know about upcoming activities.
There is a long waiting list for more consultations with Dr Bech, and GMDO organizers in Iceland look forward to welcoming her back soon.
In other news, a distinguished expert in aromatherapy in Iceland, who practises Transcendental Meditation, will soon start distributing VedAroma essential oils. She is trained to give treatments with aroma oils, and will be able to advise shops and spas on the best use of VedAroma oils.
Also, Iceland will soon establish a group of ladies who will work on importing and distributing Maharishi Ayur-Veda products to shops as well as to individuals.
In recent weeks Iceland hosted visits by two lady Transcendental Meditation Teachers who helped with follow-up programmes for those already practising the technique, including checking of meditation for more than 100 ladies. This initiative is drawing more and more Meditators to attend daily group meditations at the Transcendental Meditation Centre, creating an influence of coherence in the collective consciousness of their nation.
In the coming days, Global Good News will continue reporting on GMDO delegates' reports from other countries, as well as on other presentations during the Congress.
* 'Mother Divine' refers to the nourishing, evolutionary power of Natural Law lively within all of creation and within the silent consciousness of everyone. The Global Mother Divine Organization, established in December 2007, is the ladies' wing of the Global Country of World Peace in 192 countries.
