On 22 June 2010 The Seoul Times reported: South Korea is invited to follow the example of several Latin American militaries that have decided to implement Invincible Defence Technology--a peaceful means of defence which can create and maintain coherence and harmony in society. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of world peace.

'Social tensions between South and North Korea have escalated once again due to the sinking of the Cheonan. The two Koreas have remained technically at war with each other ever since the 1953 ceasefire ended the Korean War,' the article reports.

'If one considers the premise that their long-term struggle is a ''cold civil war'' with periodic ''hot flashes,'' then it could be argued that the protracted ''civil wars'' in Latin American countries like Colombia, Bolivia, etc. have followed similar patterns,' the author comments.

'However, the latter situation is now changing,' the article states, 'and perhaps both Koreas could learn something from new developments regarding the implementation of Invincible Defence Technology (IDT) in Latin America.'

'Invincible Defense Technology', the article explains, 'is a field-tested, practical approach to world peace and national defense—an approach validated by more than 50 replications and 23 studies published in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals.'

Studies show that when a sufficient number of experts in the Transcendental Meditation Programme and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme practise together as a group they 'create measurable positive change in the surrounding population, including reductions in crime, violence, war and terrorism'.

In Latin America there are four countries whose militaries have decided to implement IDT and establish such groups of peace-creating experts, the author continues. These experts will form a Prevention Wing of the military, and create an influence of invincibility for the nation.

Consciousness-Based Education, in which students practise Transcendental Meditation, is also being adopted by yet another Latin American country.

The article encourages South Korea to deploy IDT 'before the crisis escalates into another full-blown and very hot ''civil war'' potentially worse than that of 1950-53'.
