Starting over a year ago on 27 April 2009, on the Day of Lasting Achievements, a series of special Maharishi Yagya performances began in India. These performances are being requested by responsible citizens who have come forward to sponsor National Maharishi Yagya performances* for their country.

This year, a new series of Yagya performances will take place 14-24 June and 1-11 July 2010.

The primary benefit of these Yagya performances goes to the country, but the individual requesting the Maharishi Yagya also receives life-supporting influences from helping their country. Individuals supporting their country are in turn supported by the laws of nature of their country.

On 21 June a special Yagya for India will take place on the day of 'Ganga Dashahara'. There is an age-old tradition in India to dip in the river Ganges to purify oneself. On this day of 'Ganga Dashahara', the specific impulse of creative intelligence that bestows purity in the life of individuals, families, or nations is most accessible and lively in nature. Purity in mind, body, behaviour, and relationships is the basis for support of nature and makes it easy to accomplish one's desires.

Maharishi Yagyas performed on this day take advantage of this purifying quality of time. By nourishing specific laws of nature through Maharishi Yagya performances, individual and collective consciousness can be purified to bring the support of Natural Law to all areas of individual and national life.

* National Maharishi Yagyas are performed by groups of Vedic Pandits. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi has designed a global plan to create large groups of Vedic Pandits around the world, and specifically in a number of strategic locations in India, which, through the 'field effect of consciousness', create influences that reach beyond the small boundaries of each place to all 192 countries of the world. The most important location is the Brahmasthan [auspicious central area] of India, where facilities are currently under construction for the thousands of Vedic Pandits performing these National Yagyas.
