The world is my family: Global Mother Divine Organization celebrates Total Knowledge-Based Culture

Continuing on the theme of culture, the 27 May full moon celebration* of the Global Mother Divine Organization** featured beautiful entertainment as well as inspiring experiences of development of consciousness through Transcendental Meditation and its advanced programmes—illustrating the primary goal of the organization's Foundation of Total Knowledge-Based Culture: To create coherence in the collective consciousness of every nation through Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying.

A song highlighting the Sanskrit expression Vasudhaiva kutumbakam, meaning 'The world is my family', was performed by members of the Mother Divine Programme.** The song celebrates one united world family living under one sun as a peaceful world, a peaceful mankind.

Another member of the programme described the deeply settled, expanded state of awareness she experiences as the source of all dynamism and all creativity within her own Self, during her practice of the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme. As a result of this experience she finds that her 'mental and physical existence become lighter, more superfluid'; the ultimate expression of this transformation can be seen in the effortless lifting up of the body during the practice of Yogic Flying: 'It is amazing how such a heavy object, seemingly so bound to the earth like my body, can be moved up and through the air by the mere move of the mind. Then I understand why afterwards in daily activity I am able to accomplish more easily what I want . . . ,' she said.

In the coming days Global Good News will feature another article about the Full Moon celebration, which included a profound and beautiful address by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi about culture and religion, given in March 2006 to the Global Parliament of World Peace at the Brahmasthan [auspicious central area] of India.

** 'Mother Divine' refers to the nourishing, evolutionary power of Natural Law lively within all of creation and within the silent consciousness of everyone.
