Several decades' worth of experiences from practitioners and teachers of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's programmes—including the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programmes—are being recorded on film.
Speaking on Maharishi Global Family Chat,* Dr Robert Roth, National Director of Expansion for the Global Country of World Peace in the US, explained that his team is making many videos in the fields of education, business, health, and rehabilitation, in which leaders speak and answer questions about their experience with Transcendental Meditation.
Dr Roth showed three video clips, first of esteemed school principal Dr George Rutherford, who said he has tried every programme available for improving education, and Transcendental Meditation was the only thing that worked. In the second clip, leading US psychiatrist Dr Norman Rosenthal said he was impressed that over 350 research articles have been through the rigorous process of peer review, which makes the research on the technique remarkably substantial. In the third, Sir Paul McCartney told of a very profound and blissful experience he had in Rishikesh, India, which is still a source of joy and inspiration to him.
The videos will be made available on a website (to be announced) as short clips and also as complete interviews, including interviews with filmmaker Dr David Lynch. The plan is to make them available to other countries and language groups too, so they will be a uniquely powerful resource for people who wish to learn more about experiences with Transcendental Meditation from others in their field.
* Dr Roth's report was featured on the 4 May 2010 Maharishi Global Family Chat, broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
