Construction of Vastu homes, cabins, and other facilities for course participants, leaders, and dignitaries at the Maharishi Spiritual Capital of New Zealand is part of significant recent expansion in the field of Maharishi Vedic Architecture.
Dr Graeme Lodge, National Director of New Zealand for the Global Country of World Peace along with Dr Raylene Lodge, recently reported on Maharishi Sthapatya Veda architecture initiatives.
Please see Part I of this article.
The National Directors' home is one of the new Vastu buildings completed at the Maharishi Spiritual Capital.
The five-bedroom home offers extra space to host dignitaries at the Spiritual Capital, and also to help provide accommodation for residential courses, Dr Lodge said.
Also on the Maharishi Spiritual Centre campus is the Vastu home of New Zealand's National Director of Communication and his wife. Describing the beauty of the area, Dr Lodge said, 'Their home is situated in an orchard, and it's very beautifully surrounded and sheltered by large mature trees.'
National Directors of two other areas of society governed by the Global Country of World Peace in New Zealand also live at the Spiritual Capital. 'We hope to attract more of the National Directors here soon,' said Dr Lodge. This will fulfil Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's plan that all the National Directors would live and work together, he said.
Six Maharishi Sthapatya Veda cabins are also under construction on the campus. Situated among large trees in a very silent area, 'they will provide very peaceful and quiet accommodation for courses and for long stays here,' Dr Lodge reported.
The next major project is the construction of a 10-room residential building at the Maharishi Spiritual Capital. This building is expected to be completed this coming June, Dr Lodge concluded.
Dr Graeme Lodge's report was featured on the 11 February 2010 Maharishi Global Family Chat, broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
