Maharishi Vedic Architecture has recently seen significant expansion in New Zealand.

Dr Graeme Lodge, National Director of New Zealand for the Global Country of World Peace along with Dr Raylene Lodge, reported on recent achievements in the field of architecture.

He commended the team that has been working on these building projects, led by a recent PhD graduate of MERU in Holland, whose dissertation focussed on fundamental aspects of Sthapatya Veda, an aspect of the Vedic Literature.

This graduate's depth of knowledge is reflected in the number and quality of the nation's Vedic Architecture buildings, Dr Lodge said.

'He has been primarily responsible for the 38 projects that have been started in New Zealand,' Dr Lodge said, adding that now 25 buildings have been completed.

With a population of 4.3 million, New Zealand has the highest number of Vastu (Maharishi Sthapatya Veda) buildings per capita of any country in the world, Dr Lodge reported.

'We're quite proud of that achievement, and it's our intention to keep building more buildings, and retain that leadership in the world of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda,' he said.

Recent Maharishi Vedic Architecture construction includes two homes—one complete and one under construction—in the capital city of New Zealand; another Fortune-Creating home south of the capital; and diverse construction initiatives on the campus of the Maharishi Spiritual Capital of New Zealand.

In the coming days, Global Good News will feature the continuation of Dr Lodge's talk about expansion at the Maharishi Spiritual Capital of New Zealand.

Dr Graeme Lodge's report was featured on the 11 February 2010 Maharishi Global Family Chat, broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
