In Latin America, seven countries now have the required number of Yogic Flyers to create invincibility for the nation through the Maharishi Effect. This remarkable achievement has been accomplished through the introduction of Consciousness-Based Education into the school schedule and curriculum of many schools in Latin America. Students practise the Transcendental Meditation programme together as part of their daily school routine; many have also learnt the advanced Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying.
The seven countries that have achieved national Invincibility include Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico, Guyana, Guadeloupe, and Curacao. These countries have a total population of 208 million.
'There are 175 schools with 80,000 students, of which 21,000 are Yogic Flyers,' said Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Invincible Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace.
Speaking on 13 January 2010, during the continuing global celebrations of 12 January, Raja Luis also reported that eleven more countries have a concrete plan in place to create invincibility. Invincibility for the following countries will be accomplished in the next school year, before July 2010: Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Brazil, Ecuador, Venezuela, Panama, Guatemala, Suriname, El Salvador, and Costa Rica.
Agreements have been signed with 29 universities in 19 countries to introduce Consciousness-Based Education to their students, teachers, and administrators, Raja Luis reported.
Raja Luis also mentioned plans for programmes in a number of other universities, which would include many thousands of students; as well as plans under development for interested public schools in states or provinces of Peru, Bolivia, El Salvador, and Brazil. Unfolding in stages, these programmes could potentialy involve two million students in 2,200 schools. A special Transcendental Meditation Teacher Training Course is also being proposed 'to train 2,000 teachers to accomplish this target', Raja Luis said.
The construction of a network of new Maharishi Invincibility Schools is planned in 21 countries during 2010.
The David Lynch Foundation has been established in Latin America, as has the Institute of Science, Technology, and Public Policy, which is now working with over 100 mayors to bring the knowledge of all of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's programmes to their communities.
The Institute for Invincibility of Africa, led by Dr Joaquim Chissano, former President of Mozambique, has also been established. These three organizations will be supporting in various ways the establishment of invincibility for Latin America.
Construction of two Maharishi Towers of Invincibility has begun, one in Argentina under the leadership of Dr Julio Pereyra, Mayor of Florencio Varela, and one in Venezuela. Plans are also underway for Towers of Invincibility in Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Paraguay, and Colombia. Raja Luis presented a short video about the Maharishi Tower of Invincibility in Argentina.
Those attending the 12 January celebrations at the International Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in MERU, Holland, applauded and deeply congratulated Raja Luis, all the Teachers and Administrators of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in Latin America, as well as the city mayors and educators in the many schools and institutions in these projects, who are leading the way in creating invincibility for Latin America, and through an invincible Latin America, bringing peace to the whole world.
