Special World Peace Assemblies* are being held 19 December 2009 - 2 January 2010, in Fairfield and Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, USA. These assemblies, in the blissful atmosphere of the ongoing Invincible America Assembly, will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the First World Peace Assembly, held in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1979.

The special holiday assemblies offer Teachers and practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation Programme who also practise the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying, the opportunity to enjoy deep rest, silence, and rejuvenation during the holidays, while giving vital support—the gift of invincibility—to the United States.

The First World Peace Assembly of 3,000 Yogic Flyers at Amherst in 1979 marked a historic turning point for the United States and the world. At its culmination, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, inspired 1,600 Yogic Flyers to move to Fairfield, Iowa to found a large coherence-creating group for the US.**

That group became the nucleus for the permanent Invincible America Assembly of Yogic Flyers, established by Maharishi in 2006.

The December 2009 - January 2010 holiday assemblies will feature a rich programme of deep experience and pure knowledge. Participants will enjoy maximum rest, rejuvenation, and the development of consciousness structured by the World Peace Assembly programme, and the profound influence of the group programme and environment of the ongoing Invincible America Assembly.

More than 2,000 Yogic Flyers are now participating in daily group practice on the Invincible America Assembly, including members of the Maharishi Purusha Programme; the Mother Divine Programme; students, faculty, and staff of Maharishi University of Management; residents of Fairfield and Maharishi Vedic City; and over 1,000 Maharishi Vedic Pandits from India, whose Vedic performances create an unprecedented environment for growth towards enlightenment.
