28 October 2009
The 50th anniversary of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's first visit to England will be commemorated with the launch of a Tower of Invincibility in London and an initiative to offer Transcendental Meditation to 1,000 doctors, 1,000 teachers, and 1,000 business people, and to experts in other areas including the military.
Maharishi first arrived in London on Sunday, 13 December 1959, and during his stay he launched a plan to create Heaven on Earth in Europe, said Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Invincible Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace.* This 50th anniversary is inspiring a new wave of expansion to bring fulfilment to Maharishi's plan.
Following a celebration for practitioners and Teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in England and throughout Europe—to be held on 13 December 2009—there will be two days of conferences for the people of the nation and neighbouring nations to enjoy.
Leaders in every area of society will speak at the conferences—launching the initiative to inspire 1,000 people in each area to learn Transcendental Meditation. These two days will also centre around the initiative to establish a Maharishi Tower of Invincibility in London.
The Tower of Invincibility serves as a memorial of all Maharishi's achievements in the world, as well as a centre of all Maharishi's knowledge, Raja Peter said, so launching this endeavor is a beautiful way to celebrate the wave of enlightenment Maharishi brought to the country.
