Vedic Defence offers a peaceful solution to escalating violence and political turmoil in Nepal.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of world peace.
'Extensive scientific research indicates that the best way to reduce collective societal stress, eliminate extremism, boost the economy and thereby snuff out war and terrorism is to adopt an ancient Vedic strategy. In modern times this strategy is called Invincible Defence Technology (IDT) and was revived by the late Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in a non-religious manner. It has been quietly and successfully used by members of many faiths worldwide to eliminate conflict in the past.'
Scientific research has shown that when more than the square root of one per cent of a population practises the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, crime, war, and terrorism diminish, and quality of life improves, the article explained. For the 27 million people of Nepal, this would mean a group of 'at least 520 IDT experts'.
The article states that if just three per cent of the nation's military practised the Transcendental Meditation Programme and advanced Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme twice daily together, they could effectively form a Prevention Wing of the Military and create a powerful influence of peace and harmony for Nepal.
'Over 50 studies have shown that IDT works', the article reports. Research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Social Indicators Research (1999, vol. 47, 153-201), Journal of Social Behavior and Personality (2005, vol. 17, #1, pp. 339-373), and Journal of Offender Rehabilitation (2003, vol. 36, #1-4, 283-302).
'The causal mechanism has been postulated to be a field effect of consciousness—a spillover effect on the level of the unified field from the peace-creating group into the larger population.' One study explored 'causality of IDT in biological terms . . . . The IDT study showed that higher numbers of IDT experts correlated with a marked increase in serotonin production among other community members.' The article explains that 'Low levels of serotonin, according to research, correlate with violence, aggression, and poor emotional moods.'
