The War Veterans Association in Ankara, Turkey is organizing an international conference for war veterans in 2010, which will include a seminar on the benefits of the Transcendental Meditation Programme for post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Lt Colonel Gunter Chasse, Deputy Minister of Invincible Defence for the Global Country of World Peace, will speak at this conference.
Dr Sungur Pamir, National Director of Defence in Turkey for the Global Country of World Peace, said recently* that at this time they would also announce the effects of group practice of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Vedic Technologies for making a country invincible and creating world peace. 'This will bring the attention of participating Turkish and other national military leaders to the subject,' he said.
Another veterans' office is awaiting Dr Pamir's arrival for teaching Transcendental Meditation to veterans and academicians at a university in the Dardanelles. Dr Pamir expects many people to learn the technique, along with their children.
A local organization has agreed to fund veterans' course fees; branches of the same organization will also give support for veterans to learn in their cities.
* Dr Sungur spoke on the 9 September Maharishi Global Family Chat, which is broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
