Maharishi's translation and commentary on Chapter 7 of the Bhagavad-Gita now available

More than 40 years after the publication of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's historic translation and commentary on Chapters 1-6 of the Bhagavad-Gita,* his long-anticipated commentary on Chapter 7 has recently been published and is now available for the first time.

A special highlight of the recent global Assembly in MERU, Holland, was the reading, by Rajas and Ministers of the Global Country of World Peace, from this new 100-page book, which has a beautiful gold-foiled cover.

During the 5 July afternoon Assembly session in MERU, Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, began by reading from Maharishi's Introduction to Chapter 7:

'The Bhagavad-Gita is the Light of Life, lit by God at the altar of man, to save humanity from the darkness of ignorance and suffering. It is a scripture which outlives time, and can be acknowledged as indispensable to the life of any man in any age. . . .'

Other Ministers and Rajas continued reading from the Introduction, including Raja Dr John Hagelin, Raja Paul Potter, Raja Felix Kaegi, Raja Michael Dillbeck, Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, and others.

After they had finished reading the Introduction, Dr Morris commented that Maharishi's commentaries on the Bhagavad-Gita are the 'words of Brahm (Totality) itself, telling its own story'—the total teaching of enlightenment for any human being. Now having Maharishi's commentary on Chapter 7 available is 'a precious gift to us from Maharishi, inspired by Guru Dev,'** Dr Morris said, expressing the desire of everyone that more of Maharishi's profound, enlightening commentaries would soon become available. Dr Morris also commented that the readings create a 'nourishing feeling, the nectar of bliss in every heart'.
