All religions, including Christian, Hindu, and Buddhist, are represented in Latin America, and religious leaders are working to create invincibility for their countries, said Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Invincible Latin America, reporting on achievements in his domain.

Concluding his presentation to the global Guru Purnima Assembly in July, Raja Luis said that one Hindu leader has created four groups that will practise the Transcendental Meditation programme together to create national invincibility for Guyana, Suriname, and Venezuela.

It is the same with indigeneous leaders in Latin America, he reported—a number of indigenous leaders are taking the lead in creating invincibility for their country. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi explained that when a group of 100-200 indigeneous leaders practises Yogic Flying together in a Maharishi Peace Palace, it would be more powerful than Yogic Flyers in the general population, because there is so much Natural Law present in these leaders.

The David Lynch Foundation has been supporting them in every country, Raja Luis said, and now local philanthropists, artists, and sportsmen of Latin America are wanting to learn the Transcendental Meditation Programme and give local support. This creates a tremendous impact in the whole population.

Raja Luis thanked Dr David Lynch for his visits to Latin America, saying that what he does for the world presenting Maharishi's knowledge is very, very precious.

A network of leaders within the Transcendental Meditation organization has been created throughout Latin America; communications technologies allow them to all talk together to establish good leadership, and this is how the programme is growing.

The Maharishi Towers of Invincibility are the major goal; there are now nine countries in which there is land for the Towers, and they are being developed quite rapidly with the support of local individuals.

One mayor in Argentina is building a Tower of Invincibility, and has signed a sister agreement with Maharishi Vedic City and Fairfield, Iowa, USA, the home of Maharishi University of Management. In September he will lead a congress of 6,000 mayors of Latin America, who will enjoy a complete presentation of Maharishi's knowledge. Raja Robert Wynne, Mayor of Maharishi Vedic City, will address the mayors' congress and advise on plans for their cities.

Maharishi Ayur-Veda Products has now been established in Latin America, and 10 countries now have good distributors and investors. There is a network of 21 clinics; in August a doctors' course will start for the first time in Latin America, which will include several hundred doctors from universities in different countries. 'This will be the start of major activity in the field of Maharishi's Vedic Approach to Health in Latin America,' Raja Luis said.

With more activity in the local Transcendental Meditation Centres, and with new materials and web sites, the number of people learning Transcendental Meditation has doubled in comparison to previous years.
