In his Guru Purnima Day* address, Dr Girish Chandra Varma* highlighted several beautiful Maharishi Vedic Architecture initiatives in India.

Brahma-Sthan
About 300 acres (121 hectares) of land surrounding the actual Brahma-Sthan* (geographic centre) of India were acquired this past year, allowing construction to begin at the central point of the Brahma-Sthan project. With generous support from well-wishers in Holland and the United Kingdom, construction is progressing.

Dr Varma expressed his wish to complete construction and maintain a group of 16,000 Maharishi Vedic Pandits to secure the world in peace forever, as Maharishi Mahesh Yogi envisioned.

Six palaces for Rajas of the Global Country of World Peace are to be constructed there, 'and Rajas will be physically present in rotation, hopefully starting from this coming 15th of September', Dr Varma said.

Maharishi Peace Palaces
Two Maharishi Peace Palaces were constructed, occupied, and became fully functional this year. On 27 March 2009, a large Yagya began at one of the Peace Palaces, and it will continue for a whole year, until the end of March 2010. 'It is a historic achievement for [the Global Country of World Peace],' Dr Varma said. 'It is the first time this kind of Yagya on this large scale is being performed.'

Historic Maharishi Samadhi Smarak
'To secure [Maharishi's] great and sweet memories . . . all Maharishi's Rajas, Ministers and leaders [of the Global Country of World Peace] decided to give a physical shape to all the memories in the form of a beautiful historic Smarak****,' Dr Varma said. Construction has begun and is progressing well. 'We all hope we will be able to complete it in . . . one year.'

Please see Part I, Part II, Part III, and Part IV of this article, for Dr Varma's inspiring accounts of achievements in India this past year, presented earlier in his address.

In the coming days, Global Good News will feature the continuation of Dr Varma's address, including initiatives of leaders of the Global Country during their visits to India.

*Guru Purnima: Annual full moon celebration of the eternal Vedic Tradition of knowledge

**Dr Girish Varma is National Director of the Global Country of World Peace for India. He is also Director-General of the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahma-Sthan [geographical centre] of India, Chairman of the 160 Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group, and President of the Maharishi Institutes of Management and Information Technology, in India.

***Brahma-Sthan: A special feature of Maharishi Vedic Architecture is the Brahma-Sthan, the open central point—the seat of wholeness. Every home should have a Brahma-Sthan, where the totality of Natural Law is established. Then the home becomes a holistic structure of Natural Law. And every town, city, and country should have a Brahma-Sthan, so that every citizen is always connected with the wholeness of Cosmic Life.

****The Maharishi Samadhi Smarak to be built in India will honour the eternal Vedic wisdom of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for generations to come.
