The Consciousness-Based Education tour in Canada continues with presentations to leading educators and other groups in Toronto, Ontario and Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Dr Ashley Deans, Global Ambassador for Consciousness-Based Education, reported continuing news of the delegation, which also includes Raja Paul Potter, Raja of Invincible Canada, and Dr William Overall, National Director for Canada for the Global Country of World Peace.

In addition to their education news, Dr Deans also reported on the new radio tower that has been constructed on Maharishi Island of World Peace in Nova Scotia, now broadcasting Maharishi Gandharva Veda music and recitations of the Vedic Literature 24 hours a day; the programmes are transmitted around the whole region. The radio tower is powered by solar power.

The delegation gave presentations to the heads of two local Vedic spiritual organizations, whom they have known for many years, about Vedic architecture, Maharishi Sthapatya Veda. Within ten minutes, one leader asked about the orientation of his building (an important aspect of Vedic architecture), and immediately changed the plans for a new one to be built according to the principles of correct orientation in Maharishi Sthapatya Veda. He would also like the children of his school and congregation to begin Transcendental Meditation. The second leader was also very open to the children in his school learning the technique.

Events in Toronto and Halifax also inspired local Teachers and practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation Programme to help expand Consciousness-Based Education in their areas. These comprehensive presentations included slide shows, latest scientific research studies on Transcendental Meditation, and reports on the large Canadian delegation's visit to New York for the David Lynch Foundation benefit concert in April.

In the coming days Global Good News will feature a further article about the Canada tour's progress in Monckton and St John's, New Brunswick.
