17 October 2008
Speaking on Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Robert Wynne, Mayor of Maharishi Vedic City, USA, and Raja of Invincible New Zealand, Armenia, Kenya, Pakistan, Iraq, Vanuatu, Liberia, and Burundi for the Global Country of World Peace, reported the inauguration of the first Maharishi Peace Palace in Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, USA.
The Peace Palace was inaugurated at 11:30 in the morning on Victory Day, 9 October, the auspicious day of Vijaya Dashmi in the Vedic Calendar. Raja Wynne added that several Maharishi Vedic Pandits presided over the ceremony.
Eventually in Vedic City, as throughout the United States, there will be one Peace Palace for men and one for ladies. 'This is very inspirational for the whole community,' said Raja Wynne.
The Peace Palace will house group practice of Yogic Flying, as well as other programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for individual health, which are the basis for world peace.
