Speaking 5 August 2008 on Maharishi Global Family Chat, Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, presented a book, newly issued during this year's Global Guru Purnima Assembly, entitled Raam Raj: Global Administration through Natural Law, the Light of God.
'This book describes every aspect of what Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, gave to the world, in order for us to enjoy permanent invincibility,' began Dr Morris. The cover of the volume features a beautiful portrayal of Guru Dev* sitting on his seat of Shankaracharya, with the book's title again displayed beneath the illustration.
The book opens with a quotation from Maharishi:
'The Vedic Tradition, upheld in its purity by a long history of custodians, enshrines the supreme knowledge of the integration of life. From time to time a revival of man's understanding of the eternal wisdom of this Holy Tradition arises to rescue him from suffering, restoring him to the speedy path of evolution, and awakening him to a meaningful life in fulfilment. The Masters of this Tradition have been exponents of reality from the earliest ages. In each new epoch, they have propounded the enduring truths of practical living and have set out those standards by which men's lives may attain the highest achievements and fulfilment, generation after generation.'
Next, continued Dr Morris, the book includes Maharishi's definition of the Administration of Raam Raj, which emphasizes the inadequacy of manmade laws as promoters of coherence and peace in the world, and the superior administrative power of Natural Law—the Constitution of the Universe. Dr Morris read from Maharishi's message:
'Research into the field of administration has revealed that administration everywhere in the world has been laid out by manmade laws, and therefore is full of human weaknesses and failings. Another system of government where the constitution is not manmade is the Constitution of Natural Law, where the almighty omniscient Natural Law is the administrative power, seen in the orderly functioning, orderly process of evolution of the whole diverse creation. . . . It is our proud privilege to use this prevention-oriented, problem-free Administration of Natural Law to administer human society. This book presents global administration based on this ideal system. . . .'
Opposite Maharishi's opening quotation is the book's Table of Contents, which lists sections on all major fields of human activity, including Vedic and Total Knowledge-Based education, health, agriculture, architecture, science and technology, astrology, defense, industry, law and order, art and music, culture and religion, and economy. In addition, the book contains sections on the Maharishi Effect, World Peace, a summary of Maharishi's achievements over the last 51 years, a complete list of Maharishi's publications, and a list of internet links related to Maharishi's programmes. Each of these sections contains scientific research in the given field of human life, various charts summarizing Maharishi's knowledge in that area, as well as relevant addresses given by Maharishi.
'This book will be a treasure for years to come,' concluded Dr Morris.
