Speaking on the Maharishi Global Family Chat, Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, reported highlights of his recent trip to the United States, which included a visit to the site of the Maharishi Purusha* Capital of the Western World in West Virginia.
The initiative to establish this Purusha Capital has received tremendous attention in the last months from, among others, Raja Bob LoPinto, Raja of South Africa for the Global Country of World Peace, Minister of Architecture Dr Eike Hartmann, and Director General of Global Survey Dr Roger Audet. Dr Hartmann and Dr Audet spent 14 weeks in West Virginia examining possible sites and laying out the plans for this Maharishi Purusha Capital of the Western World. 'The [Purusha] Capital of the Eastern World will of course be in India itself,' Dr Morris said.
The Capital in West Virginia will comprise some 800 suites. 'There will be a suite for each of 192 Purusha, each attending quietly . . . to one country of the world** . . . and providing support from Purusha consciousness—supreme value of Unity Consciousness—to that nation. With them will be two computer masters who will have their own suites, as well as one guest from that country,' Dr Morris explained. According to this plan there will be four suites associated with each of the 192 countries of the world, which means nearly 800 suites, Dr Morris said.
'Already 106 acres have been purchased . . . and more land all around is available to expand the site. It is in a very isolated and pure place,' Dr Morris continued. Rural roads lead to a private road and 'what is basically our own forested small mountain . . . at the foot of which is a space for a beautiful lake to be created. . . . The view across the small valley is to another wooded ridge to the east . . . [and] to the north and south there are [expansive] views of . . . distant mountain ranges covered with forest. [It is a] very pretty, very soft landscape,' Dr Morris said, 'but most of all, very private and isolated for Purusha.'
Global Good News will also soon feature further information and updates on the Maharishi Purusha Capital of the Western World that were given during an address by Raja Bob LoPinto, during the global Guru Purnima Celebrations currently taking place in MERU, the Netherlands.
* Maharishi Mahesh Yogi has explained that Purusha means the Self, the quality of infinite silence of the Unified Field of Natural Law. The Maharishi Purusha Programme was designed by Maharishi for men who wish to dedicate themselves fulltime to the most rapid pace of evolution possible and creating world peace. This is accomplished through the extended group practice of the Transcendental Meditation-Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying and activity dedicated to the fulfilment of the many programmes of the Global Country of World Peace.
'Purusha is a very ideal programme. . . . It is a wonderful programme for the individual to harness the full creative potential of Natural Law and use it to enjoy bliss. World peace is a by-product of it. Heavenly life on earth is a by-product of it.'—Maharishi
