Bolivia to be a model of Invincibility for all Latin America - Part I

Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Latin America, reported recently on Maharishi Global Family Chat about developments in Consciousness-Based Education in schools and communities in Bolivia, and about government support for a Maharishi Tower of Invincibility and Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture.

Raja Jose Luis reported that Bolivia requires 300 Yogic Flyers for national invincibility.

He showed slides from some of the schools that have Yogic Flyers in Bolivia, and said that there is great leadership in the Teachers of Transcendental Meditation in Bolivia. Eighteen teachers are carrying out all the activities of the Global Country of World Peace, focussing very much on national invincibility.

In one town, at an elevation of 16,000 feet [4,877 metres] near Lake Titicaca, Raja Jose Luis reported that all the students and teachers meet regularly for meditation; he showed slides of the children practising Transcendental Meditation together. Here there is a permanent group of 400 Yogic Flyers every day.

The government has expressed interest in offering land, so a college is now available to bring all of them together when they have finished their secondary education; 20 hectares of land have been donated to the Transcendental Meditation foundation in Bolivia.

In another town, Raja Jose Luis said that the feeling to have Consciousness-Based Education as part of the community is very strong. 'It's not just the school,' Raja Jose Luis said. 'It is the Mayor that does it, the policemen, the administrators, the staff, and parents—everyone. About 60, even 70 per cent of the community is now practising Transcendental Meditation or are Yogic Flyers. So it's really becoming a community,' he said.

A leading member of the government visited recently and was briefed about the whole project. He interviewed and talked to the Teachers of Transcendental Meditation, wanting to understand what they are doing. He was very surprised that the community has become so deeply involved in this knowledge of Maharishi's Vedic Science. 'So this is an example for the whole of Bolivia,' Raja Jose Luis said.
