The World Congress of Rajas and Ministers of the Global Country of World Peace continues to meet twice daily in MERU, Holland, where they have been enjoying presentations from the National Directors of many countries which are rising to invincibility through Maharishi's technologies to create world peace.

Beautiful photographs from 104 countries were viewed, depicting flag-raising ceremonies on 12 January by the nations' Founders of Invincibility, along with reports of the momentous events to inaugurate the Maharishi Towers of Invincibility. Everyone present recalled the words of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, on 9 January, that these towers will be a perpetual 'memorial of the achievement of global invincibility in this generation, a global shrine of invincibility that will be a pilgrimage place for all the generations to come'.

Ethiopia

The Flag of Invincibility was raised on 8 hectares of land only 30 minutes from the capital, Addis Ababa. A teacher of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme, who had been given the land several years ago by the government, reported that to her great surprise, power lines which had hindered construction on the land, were being moved within days of the flag-raising ceremony. Plans for the Maharishi Tower of Invincibility and an Invincibility School can now proceed more quickly.

Maharishi University of Management in the USA has been very pleased to receive several hundred Ethiopian students to its computer science programme in recent years.

Israel

Three locations in Israel hosted the ceremonies, including the Brahmasthan (central point of the country) where a Maharishi College of World Peace is planned for 500 students. Well-wishers and Founders of Invincibility also gathered in Tel Aviv and Hararit to give their support and enjoy the proceedings.

South Korea

Sunshine and snow brightened the ceremonies in the capital city, Seoul. The National Director reported that almost immediately following the inaugural events, calls were received from four cities where people were eager to learn Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Technique.

USA

Simultaneous ceremonies were held in several places in the New England states, including the Maharishi Vedic Health Care Centre in Lancaster, Massachusetts, and Antrim, New Hampshire, where ground-breaking has already been done for an Invincibility School. Organizers are working closely with the local government who are very enthusiastic about the project. The Flag of Invincibility was also raised in Massachusetts' beautiful and historic Minuteman National Park, which features prominently in America's founding history and where plans have recently been approved for construction of a Maharishi Peace Palace.

Greece

A large group gathered on land east of Athens and also in Thessaloniki, where the ground-breaking took place on a beautiful hilltop site.

Norway

Land north of Oslo, already owned by the Global Country of World Peace, was the site of the flag-raising ceremony. Participants were undeterred by the snow and winds as they conducted the traditional steps to inaugurate the Maharishi Tower of Invincibility. Visitors to this land always remark on the deep silence and peace felt there. Plans are proceeding for an Invincibility School and residential facilities for Vedic Pandits.

Trinidad

Many well-wishers gathered to enjoy the events of the day on this beautiful Caribbean island, which is the first nation in the world to rise to invincibility through schools where Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme are practised. There is enthusiastic support for the purchase of land and for funding to build the Maharishi Tower of Invincibility. On 12 January, new possibilities opened up for securing land for the tower very near the capital city, Port of Spain.

Rwanda

A teacher of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme, working in Rwanda, Africa's most densely populated country, visited the Brahmasthan of his country to perform the flag-raising ceremony. His visit proved highly significant, as he was able to contract for the purchase of this land on 12 January.

Malaysia and Singapore

These southeast Asian nations have been very active for many years in supporting Maharishi's endeavours for peace. Six places held flag-raising ceremonies on 12 January, and the Founders of Invincibility have already been very successful in locating properties for construction of the many facilities needed to support the rise of invincibility for their nations. Very recently, when Maharishi expressed his desire for the perpetual memorial of a Maharishi Tower of Invincibility, an ideal location was found for the tower on land 2 ½ hours from Singapore. Sun broke through on a very rainy day, and the ceremonies were enjoyed by many well-wishers.

These are just a few of the many wonderful highlights marking the historic celebrations of 12 January 2008 around the world.
