During the Global Celebration on 12 January 2008, Dr Benjamin Feldman, Minister of Finance and Planning of the Global Country of World Peace, who holds the golden keys to the inexhaustible treasury of His Majesty Maharaja Nader Raam, spoke about Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's gift of self-sufficiency to every individual in the world and to every nation.

Dr Feldman began by saying that the celebration and festivity on this 12 January is of Guru Dev's* eternal victory for the world. Maharishi has given us, and given us again, the gift of self-sufficiency. Maharishi has expressed how it all arises from the depth of Vedic wisdom.

Dr Feldman said that 'from the start we were drawn to Maharishi because of that knowledge of self-sufficiency, of self-reliance, for that knowledge that every, every individual is cosmic. And I'm sure that Maharishi will forgive us for feeling a little attached as he has decided to spend his time now in Veda [Total Knowledge] and the commentary of the Veda. Nevertheless, we do have his gift of self-sufficiency on every level: for every individual in the world—and for every nation in the world.'

'When the biggest nations of the world realize how vulnerable they are, how fragile their safety and security seems to be, Maharishi is offering invincibility not only to them, but to the tiniest of nations in the world,' said Dr Feldman. 'A little island somewhere with less than a million people, Maharishi knows and tells them, ''You can be invincible''—an impossible word for even the greatest powers in the world.

'But the reality of self-sufficiency of just a few people, one island nation anywhere, or an individual who senses that he is part of something so huge, Maharishi tells him, ''That thou art. You are the Veda. You are made of the Veda.'' '

Maharishi has so systematically brought out the structure of administration in the same way as the Veda brings out the structure of creation from within, giving rise to the human physiology, with which all of us have somehow been bestowed, said Dr Feldman.

Maharishi was so generous in pin-pointing yesterday that 'even though we may try to pin-point from where it all comes, it's not possible to pin-point it because it is everywhere. And in the end what we are left with is Naguror adhikam**, for telling us that or telling us that it's omnipresent, and that it emerges spontaneously. And that even in his own very personal case, it is so. It came spontaneously from that omnipresent level, which he attributes to his Master, Guru Dev, who said, ''Pashya, pashya, pashya'' [''See, see, see''].

So in Maharishi's generosity, he has given us his gift, the gift of Guru Dev. 'He has shared it completely and fully with everyone in the world, and he has created so many who have been practising a technique of Guru Dev [Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation] and the advanced techniques.

'And he endeavored to perfect that experience—first with the Enlightenment Course a few years ago, and then through the Raja Training Course and then through all the Invincible National Assemblies, through the Maharishi Channel, and now in the programme to have the advanced technique teachers refresh the experience of all those tens of thousands, who have been practising [the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme] for so many years.

'This gift of self-sufficiency is what we cherish and what we are bound to share—on every level self-reliance. Maharishi has opened the doors for the elimination of poverty and he has said that whenever the countries will come out of poverty, it will be through the Raam [Global Development Currency], through the principle of the second currency,' said Dr Feldman.

'There is such depth of understanding, of knowledge of the mechanics of creation and evolution that Maharishi can bring self-reliance to every field of life. And in this self-sufficiency, we are full and the fullness can be fuller. It can only be through the celebration of that fullness, through the waves of that fullness.'

Every man finds some joy by some interaction, he interacts with his environment, said Dr Feldman. He looks at something, or he paints something, or he knows something, he sees someone, and that brings some wave of joy. 'But Maharishi has shown us that there's truly no greater joy, no joy that is more sublime than the interaction of the Self with the Self.

'On that level the self-sufficiency is truly overflowing and complete, and Maharishi has opened the door to all of us to that level of interaction which is the most sublime, the most fulfilling.'
