Forty minutes north of Auckland, plans are progressing quickly to create Maharishi Spiritual Capital of New Zealand. Locally referred to as 'Maharishi Vedic Estate', the development is on eight hectares of beautiful land with a stream flowing through to a nearby estuary on the Pacific Ocean. The site has a wonderful atmosphere of secluded privacy, and is in the middle of rolling countryside surrounded by mature forest. Maharishi Spiritual Capital of New Zealand will have space for a Vedic garden and park on certified organic land. Plans are underway to house seventy people in homes built according to Maharishi Sthapatya Veda, with facilities for thirty-five people to attend coherence-creating courses.
