Peace-creating group for El Salvador
by Global Good News staff writer

20 July 2007
An aspiration to rid his city of violence and crime and increase the well-being of his citizens has prompted the Mayor of El Salvador's second largest city to implement the Transcendental Meditation Programme. Five hundred public school students will learn the TM Technique as the first step in this endeavour.
Extensive scientific research has demonstrated that group practice of Transcendental Meditation and the advanced TM-Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying by a small fraction of the population creates a powerful influence of coherence throughout the whole society, reducing negative tendencies such as crime and violence, and promoting positive trends.
In the capital city, San Salvador, seven hectares of beautiful parkland have become available which will be an ideal site for an Invincibility School and other buildings to house Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's coherence-creating programmes.
