The latest news from the new Maharishi Sthapatypa Veda (MSV) development in Suffolk, England.
Maharishi recently explained the benefit of Fortune-Creating Homes when he addressed the conference on Global Reconstruction hosted by the Global Financial Capital of New York on 13 April.
'Everything is well connected with everything else,' he said. 'The principle is that the house in which we live is well-connected with those who live in the house. It is also well connected with the environment, with the further-away environment—the sun, and moon, and galaxies, and stars, with the whole universe.'
He continued: 'The well-measured house is, in short, a 'Fortune-Creating Home'. Haphazard ill-designed homes are misfortune-creating homes. People do not know where the cause of their sickness is, where the basic cause of fighting with their friends living in the same house is. ... All the problems of the world will go away with our world reconstruction programme.'
TV and press feature Garden Village success
With 28 residents ranging in age from four to the late seventies, the Fortune-Creating Homes® of Garden Village, Suffolk, are living up to their description—and are justifiably receiving lots of attention from the media.
Both the Mail on Sunday and Suffolk's Evening Star published full-page articles with colour photographs on Garden Village last month. Each included quotes from residents, and was very positive.
The BBC's regional TV news programme 'Look East' included a short interview with Colin and Loretta Basker in their Fortune-Creating Home, and Anglia TV conducted live interviews on their early evening news programme with Garden Village residents Sarah Jane Quick and Dr Jacqueline Phillips. Both also interviewed John Renwick, MSV Homes's Director of Construction, who explained the value of Fortune-Creating Homes.
In this and next month's Transcendental Meditation News, we are bringing to light the stories of several of Garden Village's residents. These paint pictures of happiness and fulfilment in people who have followed their dreams to completion, often through thick and thin. They also provide a compelling and enticing account of everyday life in a Fortune-Creating community in the beautiful region of East Anglia.
With the completion of the apartments in the coming two months, 15 or more residents will immediately swell this model of Vedic Architecture—the first and only residential development in Britain to provide homes in accord with Total Natural Law.
As soon as the remaining five houses and apartments have been purchased, attention will turn to constructing the Maharishi Invincibility Centre, the heart of the community, which is to be situated in a secluded corner of the site among mature trees. With facilities for group practice of Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying in a structure that acts as a perfect conduit for cosmic intelligence, this will make Garden Village a showcase for Maharishi's Vedic Science and Technology, not only in the UK but also in Europe.
The pioneering residents of this special place will have a place in history.
