On 18 February the Global Country of World Peace of Tucson, Arizona co-sponsored a webcast of physicist John Hagelin presenting proven technologies to reduce violent crime and create world peace.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of world peace.
Denise Denniston Gerace—a former teacher at Maharishi University of Management in Iowa, which promotes 'Consciousness-Based Education', and conducts scientific research on Transcendental Meditation—started the programmes of the Global Country of World Peace in Tucson less than two years ago.
The group, which currently has 300 active members, says scientific research has proven that collective meditation can reduce violent crime.
The Arizona Daily Star quoted Ms Gerace as saying, 'Tucson is a very alert city of practical people who are really grounded in their relationships with others and interested in developing their full potential and who they are.'
The webcast was co-sponsored by the Institute of Noetic Sciences.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
