New book by Dr David Lynch highlights Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation technique — Tarcher/Penguin, one of America's most prominent publishing houses, published on 31 December 2006 a new book by award-winning filmmaker Dr David Lynch, titled 'Catching the Big Fish: Meditation, Consciousness, and Creativity.' The book, which Dr Lynch dedicates in the opening page to His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (http://maharishi-programmes.globalgoodnews.com/achievements/index.html), recounts Dr Lynch's 33-year practice of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation technique, how it has improved his creative process, and how it can be used to create world peace.

Dr Lynch's new book is already receiving highly positive press coverage. Last week, the Boston Globe published a wonderful half page interview with Dr Lynch. On 31 December 2006 the New York Times published a full page story about Dr Lynch and his practice of Transcendental Meditation.

To promote the book and Transcendental Meditation, Dr Lynch is embarking on a seven city tour in mid-January. As part of the tour, Dr Lynch will speak to top leaders of society at Lincoln Center in New York City, the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, and the 3,500 seat Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Dr Lynch will be joined by his good friend and well known songwriter Donovan Leitch, a 40 year meditator, who will give a concert of his uplifting songs about Transcendental Meditation and enlightenment.

Dr Lynch is a Yogic Flyer, a graduate of Maharishi's Enlightenment Course, a member of the Board of Trustees at Maharishi University of Management, and the honoured recipient of a Doctorate of World Peace from Maharishi University of Management.

Dr Lynch is donating all proceeds from the sale of the book to bring Transcendental Meditation to existing schools around the country and also to establish Invincibility Schools and Maharishi Universities of World Peace, with 8,000 Yogic Flying students, on every continent.
